Are you God's creation
A woman about to end her life was blinded by a bright light. The power of the light pulled her towards it, and she followed. She arrived at a huge tree growing in a river, birds flying in and out of its branches. She saw the fins of what appeared to be sharks swimming around the tree. Determined to kill herself, she plunged in. The river was three feet deep, and the sharks ignored her. Thunder roared, and lightning flashed, breaking a few branches off the tree and birds scattering in all directions. A voice like thunder said:
You are my creation
Made honest and good from my inspiration
Why do you want to end your life of love and appreciation?
Without consideration
Of the ones who love you despite your reputation
You know you have their forgiveness
They understand that your life is a mess
And they are willing to help you through your distress
Because they believe in your ability to achieve success
Now you must believe in yourself
Give life a chance, don’t tell it farewell
Remember the joy, kindness, and love you shared
Healing the hearts, minds, and souls of the impaired
Giving them more reason to live
Because being alive, they have more to give
Now the table is turned
And it’s your turn to learn
That life is a gift, and you are my creation,
And it is real, not an imitation
Brought here for a reason
No matter the season
You are loved by many who want you to live
Don’t you think you should give,
Back to some of the love, consideration, and gratitude you take
Before you make
what do you think is a clean break
Stop and think! Give life another chance!
